MOREE WEATHER
-
Getting here Moree is ideally positioned along a major inland road / rail corridor, making it a logical transport hub for access to major capital cities and national ports. It has been identified as a Transport Hub in the Federal Government's Auslink Strategy and Moree Plains Shire Council has commissioned studies on the freight task of the region in anticipation of substantial infrastructure funding, being released for the Inland Rail.
Rail
Moree has daily passenger rail services to and from Sydney and is a key link in the proposed inland railway. Moree Plains Shire Council and business are building a business case for a link into Queensland and the ports of Brisbane and Gladstone. Seasonal grain and other freight currently go south to the ports of Sydney and Newcastle by rail.
